DJI Osmo 360 was introduced in India and worldwide on Thursday. This action camera features a 1-inch 360-degree sensor that allows it to capture videos in up to 8K resolution natively. It also comes with a square HDR Image sensor, which is claimed to be the first of its kind in the industry. According to the company, the DJI Osmo 360 includes 128GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi 6, and gesture recognition. The starting price for the DJI Osmo 360 is EUR 479.99 (approximately Rs. 48,000) for the Standard Combo. This package includes the Osmo 360 action camera along with items like the Osmo Action Extreme Battery Plus, Osmo 360 Protective Pouch, Osmo Lens Cleaning Cloth, USB Type-C to USB Type-C PD Cable (USB 3.1), and Osmo 360 Rubber Lens Protector. In India, the company only provides the Adventure Combo, which costs Rs. 54,990 or EUR 629.99 (about Rs. 63,000). This bundle contains all the accessories from the Standard Combo along with two Osmo Action Multifunctional Battery Cases, an Osmo Adjustable Quick Release Adapter Mount, and an Osmo 1.2m Invisible Selfie Stick.

Customers can buy the DJI Osmo 360 through the brand's website and certified retail partners. The DJI Osmo 360 has a rectangular HDR sensor that is 1 inch in size, claiming to use 25 percent more of the sensor area by removing any unused parts found in standard rectangular sensors. It features a 1/1.1-inch CMOS image sensor with a f/1.9 aperture. This action camera can achieve a high dynamic range of up to 13.5 stops and has a large pixel size. These improvements allow the DJI Osmo 360 to record videos in 8K resolution at a speed of 50 frames per second (fps) natively. It can also shoot in 8K 30 fps continuously for as long as 100 minutes, as reported by the company. A notable function of the action camera is its single-lens mode, which allows for 5K 60 fps flat video recording with a 155-degree field of view. Users can activate the Boost Video mode to widen the field of view to 170 degrees, though the video recording will be limited to 4K 120fps.

The DJI Osmo 360 can also record video at up to 4x slow motion. Additionally, users can take 360-degree still images with a 120-megapixel resolution. The action camera automatically removes the Invisible Selfie Stick from 360-degree footage without needing any manual editing, giving a third-person perspective. Still photos are saved in JPEG format, while video files are stored in OSV and MP4 (HEVC) formats. It features built-in gesture and voice controls, allowing users to operate it using hand gestures or voice commands without needing to touch it. There is 128GB of built-in storage, with 105GB accessible. Users can also expand the storage using a microSD card. According to the company, the action camera functions within an operating temperature range of -20 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. The DJI Osmo 360 features a 1,950mAh battery, which is claimed to provide over 1.5 hours of video recording even in cold temperatures. It can record for up to 100 minutes at 8K 30 fps resolution.
