US President Donald Trump has responded to the horrific murder of Chandra Nagamallaiah, the Indian man who was beheaded by an undocumented Cuban immigrant last week in Dallas, Texas. Trump assured that the accused would be prosecuted to "the fullest extent of the law" for "first degree murder." He also pledged to make "America safe again" and stated that his administration would not be "lenient" toward illegal "immigrant criminals." "I have seen the awful reports about the murder of Chandra Nagamallaiah, a well-known individual in Dallas, Texas, who was viciously beheaded in front of his wife and son, by an ILLEGAL ALIEN from Cuba who should have never been in our nation," he shared in a post on his Truth Social platform. On September 10, 41-year-old Nagamallaiah was tragically attacked and decapitated at the Downtown Suites motel on Samuell Boulevard in Dallas. Thirty-seven-year-old Yordanis Cobos-Martinez was arrested and charged with capital murder. He is accused of beheading Nagamallaiah and discarding the victim's head in a trash bin. Trump held the previous Biden administration responsible for letting the murder suspect Martinez, an undocumented immigrant with a criminal background, into the community.
"This individual had been arrested before for serious crimes, including child sex abuse, grand theft auto, and false imprisonment, but was let back into our country under incompetent Joe Biden because Cuba did not want such a wicked person in their Country. Be assured, the time for being lenient on these Illegal Immigrant Criminals is OVER under my leadership!" Trump stated. Last week, a CCTV video from the Downtown Suites motel became widely shared on social media, displaying Martinez, who has a violent criminal record and had recently been released, repeatedly attacking the motel manager, Nagamallaiah, with a machete in front of his wife and 18-year-old son. The shocking video depicted Martinez chasing the victim with a machete and continuing the assault until Nagamallaiah was decapitated. He then kicked the victim's head into the motel parking lot before picking it up and throwing it in a dumpster. On Friday, the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) declared that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has begun the process of the attacker's "removal" from the country. In a statement, DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin also accused the Biden administration of permitting undocumented immigrants to enter the country.
"This brutal, savage murder of a victim at a motel by Yordanis Cobos-Martinez could have been entirely avoided if this criminal illegal immigrant had not been released into our country by the Biden Administration," she added.
