Jeff Jones Does Not See His Future At Uber

President Jeff Jones of Uber has resigned just 6 months after joining the company.

"We want to thank Jeff for his six months at the company and wish him all the best," Uber spokesperson Sphie Schmidt said in a statement.

Jones said that the reason behind his resignation is that his values did not align with Uber’s.

“It is now clear, however, that the beliefs and approach to leadership that have guided my career are inconsistent with what I saw and experienced at Uber, and I can no longer continue as president of the ride sharing business," he said in a statement.

Jones is the latest is in the string of high-level executives to leave the ride hailing company. 

Jones is the latest of several high-level executives to leave the San Francisco-based company.

Last month, Uber asked engineer executive Amit Singhal to leave amid allegations of sexual harassment during at Google.

Ed Baker, Uber’s Vice President of product and growth, also quit earlier this month.

Uber CEO Travis Kalanick in his email to company employees stated, that “After we announced our intention to hire a COO, Jones took the tough decisions that he does not see his future at the company.”

"It is unfortunate that this was announced through the press, but I thought it was important to send all of you an email before providing comment publicly."
