An Indian-origin teenage Sikh boy, who was a high-school student, was shot dead in California, when he was returning home from work. The police launch an investigation after the incident.

The incident happened during last week at his home in his garage, located on Kandinsky Way in California.

Famliy of the 17-year-old Gurnoor Singh Nahal, says he was coming home from work when he was shot.

According to the family, they do not suspect anything and cannot understand why. His uncle Tejinderjit Singh, said that, "We cannot imagine it. We are lost."

Nahal's grandmother found him lying in the garage. He cried for help, but it was too late, She said.

"She heard it and it was very loud and I think when she heard that, she came out and then she saw him," Singh said.

"It was a young kid. We have kids to a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old, so it's really sad," said a neighbour, Gil Garcia.
