Samsung is anticipated to introduce a new addition to its Galaxy S27 series with the upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro in the following year. The company plans to present the Galaxy S27 Pro as a high-end version, and it is predicted to take camera features from the luxurious Galaxy S27 Ultra. A recent leak has disclosed information regarding its battery size and screen dimensions. The Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to come with a smaller screen and will not support S Pen functionality. A new post on X by Kro (@kro_itnyang) suggests that the Galaxy S27 Pro will be equipped with a battery of 5,000mAh. If this is true, the Pro version will have a less powerful battery compared to the Galaxy S27 Ultra, which is rumored to have a silicon-carbon battery with a capacity between 5,500mAh and 6,000mAh. This battery will also be similar to that of the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The Pro version is indicated to exclude the S Pen.
Additionally, the Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to have a 6.5-inch screen. This size will be significantly smaller than the Galaxy S26+, which has a 6.7-inch display, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which features a 6.9-inch screen. The display will be a bit larger than the 6.3-inch base Galaxy S26.
Aside from the display and camera details, not much is known about the hardware of the Galaxy S27 Pro at this time. With its compact design, it is believed that Samsung will place the Galaxy S27 Pro between the Galaxy S27+ and Galaxy S27 Ultra. It is likely to share its rear camera features with the Ultra model. The rear camera setup may consist of a main sensor with 200-megapixels and a 50-megapixel All Lenses on Prism (ALoP) camera. The Galaxy S27 Pro is expected to have a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. It is rumored to be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. It is likely to be released early next year alongside the Galaxy S27, Galaxy S27+, and Galaxy S27 Ultra models.
