France Warns About Public Swimwear. A recent instance of this rising issue emerged from France, where the mayor of Les Sables d’Olonne, Yannick Moreau, issued a public warning against inappropriate dressing.

In a message on Facebook, he mentioned that those seen walking "half-naked" in public places could be fined €150 (around Rs 15,193). He emphasized that “being respectful to the people of Sablais” involves not strolling around without a shirt or in swimwear outside the beach. He noted that this warning came from a rise in public indecency and lowering standards of hygiene and etiquette. Nude or clothing-optional beaches exist in numerous regions, where individuals sunbathe either partially dressed or nude. Although this is accepted by many, it can cause discomfort for others if not kept to specific areas. It's essential to understand that nudity at these beaches is not the same as obscenity, and there are certain guidelines to follow.
