Jennifer Lopez had an unplanned meeting at a Chanel shop in Istanbul recently. The pop star was in town for the Istanbul part of her Up All Night: Live in 2025 tour, which took place at Yenikapi Festival Park during the Istanbul Festival on August 5, 2025. As reported by Turkiye Today, on Monday, August 4, 2025, Jennifer was shopping before her show when the incident took place. It happened while she was at Istinye Park, one of the high-end malls in Istanbul. According to the report, a security guard stopped her as she was about to go into the store, explaining that it was already filled to capacity. Jennifer Lopez didn’t show any signs of frustration about not being able to enter the luxury brand shop. Reports say she calmly replied, “Okay, no problem,” and walked away without showing any significant reaction. Later, staff from the boutique came to her with an invitation to come in, but this time, Lopez politely declined.

Following the Chanel incident, Jennifer Lopez was seen spending more than three hours at high-end fashion stores nearby. Some of the shops included the French luxury brand Celine and the Turkish brand Beymen. As reported by Turkiye Today, the singer of Can’t Get Enough spent around tens of thousands of dollars. This visit to Istanbul was Jennifer Lopez’s second trip to Turkey this year. Earlier, on July 23, 2025, she gave an electrifying performance at the Regnum Carya Resort Hotel, and the next day celebrated her 56th birthday at the same location. On July 25, 2025, Jennifer Lopez shared a post on Instagram, giving her fans a glimpse into her birthday festivities in Turkey. The photo album included beautiful mirror selfies, a colorful food spread, JLo cutting a multi-layered birthday cake while wearing a shiny silver dress, and other fun moments. Her caption read, “Birthday. Antalya, Turkey. What a gift you all are!
