The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has revealed a significant cash incentive of Rs 58 crore for the Indian national cricket team, which secured the Champions Trophy 2025 title. This victory was particularly noteworthy for the team, led by Rohit Sharma, as they maintained an undefeated record throughout the tournament, ultimately defeating New Zealand in the final match. According to the official announcement, the cash award is designated to benefit the players, coaching staff, support personnel, and the members of the men's selection committee under the guidance of Ajit Agarkar.

In the press release, the BCCI expressed its pleasure in awarding Team India with this financial recognition after their success at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, affirming its commitment to acknowledging the contributions of players, coaching staff, and the selection committee.

"Under the impressive leadership of Captain Rohit Sharma, our team showcased immense skill during the tournament, achieving four decisive victories leading up to the championship game. The journey began with a strong six-wicket win against Bangladesh, followed by another six-wicket success over Pakistan. The team demonstrated their prowess with a 44-run victory against New Zealand, culminating in a four-wicket win over Australia in the semi-finals," noted the BCCI's official communication.

BCCI President Roger Binny commented, “Securing consecutive ICC titles is a remarkable achievement, and this prize acknowledges the dedication and outstanding performance of Team India on the world stage. This reward reflects the collective effort and commitment made by everyone involved behind the scenes. Notably, this marks our second ICC Trophy in 2025, following the triumph in the ICC U19 Women’s World Cup, showcasing the robust cricketing framework we have in our nation.”

BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia added, “The BCCI is honored to present this well-deserved reward to the players and support team. Their dominance in international cricket is a product of persistent effort and strategic planning over the years. This victory reaffirms India's leading position in white-ball cricket, and we are optimistic that the team will continue to thrive in the future. The dedication and passion demonstrated by the players have established a new standard, and we are confident that Indian cricket will keep pushing the limits on the global front.”
