Houston and Miami schools received threats on Wednesday. This is the second time schools facing such a kind of situation. Earlier this week, New York and Los Angeles schools received similar threats.
abc7news.com reported that, The Houston Independent School District, the largest school district in Texas and one among the largest in the U.S. said in a statement to students and parents, that it received the violence threat as same as the other districts, but is not reliable.
Officials of Houston Independent School District (HISD) said that, as a precautionary method,” law enforcement officers are in the process of conducting random sweeps of school district buildings," while, the other teams will be on patrol. Officials requested people to report any suspicious activity in the district.
On the other hand, officials of Miami-Dade County Public Schools said in a statement, that they received threats "similar to those received by other school districts including Los Angeles and New York earlier this week. Similar threats have been received by Broward County Public Schools and Houston Independent School District, they added."
They further continued the statement that, "The Miami-Dade Schools Police Department has established communications with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies and at this time the threat is deemed as less credible."
The normal school days are expected from Thursday and they are persuading parents to send their children to school on schedule timings.
