Shefali Jariwala, renowned for her role in 'Kaanta Laga,' passed away in Mumbai late on Friday evening. Her husband rushed her to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital, where she was pronounced dead by the attending doctors. She was 42 years old, and her family has yet to reveal the cause of her death. Her remains have been transported to Cooper Hospital for an autopsy. Police are currently at Shefali’s residence, interviewing the cook and house staff for information.

Shefali Jariwala rose to fame in 2002 with the hit song 'Kaanta Laga,' which became a pop culture phenomenon. She later became well-known after her stint in Bigg Boss 13, where her confidence and clarity shone through. Additionally, she was featured in the film 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi' in 2004, which starred Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra.

Shefali participated in the dance reality shows 'Nach Baliye' seasons 5 and 7 alongside her husband, Parag Tyagi, whom she wed in 2015. The unexpected news of her passing has profoundly shocked the entertainment industry and her fans. Mika Singh expressed his grief on social media, stating, "I’m profoundly shocked and saddened. My dear friend Shefali Jariwala is no longer with us. It feels unreal. Her grace, smile, and spirit will always be remembered. Om Shanti." In another post on Instagram, he reflected on how unpredictable life is, reminiscing about his long-time friendship with Shefali, which spanned over 25 years. He recalled their collaborative efforts on a music video, stating that it may have been her last. He urged everyone to cherish their loved ones, as life can be fleeting.

Actress Kamya Punjabi shared her grief on Instagram, saying, "I can't believe this news... my heart is heavy. Shefali." Columnist Tehseen Poonawalla expressed his disbelief as well, noting that Shefali was a friend from their time on BiggBoss13. He reflected on the shortness of life and sent love to her family. Actor Paras Chhabra, who also participated in Bigg Boss 13, shared a photo of them together and captioned it, "No one knows how long they have."
